Tension As Residents Find A Corpse And A Teenager’s Head In A Coffin In Anambra

There was palpable tension in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, as residents woke up to the horrifying sight of a casket, containing a corpse and a severed human head, Nicolekaima’s blog reports.

It was learnt that the casket was found alongside a note written on a cardboard paper, warning the winner of the 2021 Anambra State Governorship election, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, to release some “Unknown Gunmen” in his custody.

The incident which happened on the early hours of Friday, November 26, which also happens to be the Afor Market day of the town has left residents petrified, as the head which was found inside the casket looked like it had belonged to a teenager.

The written warning addressed to Prof Soludo asked him to facilitate immediate release of all their members in custody and also stressed that every Monday Sit-At-Home in solidarity with the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), will continue until the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The threat also read that the unknown gunmen would be returning with a different style and this time, it would be bloody and Isuofia (being the hometown of the incoming governor) will be the hotbed of their wrath.

They further advised Soludo's kindred to persuade him into releasing all their members adding that Umueze Isuofia was, “forming armoured tanker”.

As at the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Command was yet to give an official statement concerning the recent development.
