Radio Presenter, Itiat Zion Hacked To Death By Unknown Assailants In Calabar (Photos)

Itiat Zion, a popular Efik Master of Ceremonies and radio presenter with FAD FM, has been killed by yet-to-be-identified criminals in Calabar, Cross River state.

According to reports from CrossRiverWatch, the late Itiat Zion anchored major Efik traditional marriages among other events. He also presented a popular Efik program, “Uwem Ye Ido” on FAD 93.1 FM Calabar.

 Reports had it that Zion was waiting by the roadside to get a vehicle back home when his assailants came out of a vehicle and butchered him to death.

He was killed close to a popular hotel located along the Murtala Mohamed highway on Saturday, November 6. 

A close source told CRW that the killers came with a car. “The boys just came out from a vehicle and butchered him to death,” the source said. 

His colleague and popular Efik MC, Koko Dear, who presents the “Uwem Ye Ido” Efik program with him on FAD FM, was the one who took his body to the morgue. 

Koko Dear told reporters that the murder may be a case of mistaken Identity. Meanwhile, friends and acquaintances of the deceased have taken to social media to mourn his passing.
