Ambazonia Group Denies Responsibility For Taraba Attacks, Reveals Attackers

Cameroon separatist and leader of Ambazonia Defence Force, Dr. Cho Lucas Ayaba refuted reports that his group attacked a community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.

It would be recalled that the Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Emmanuel Bwacha, on Wednesday, revealed that suspected Ambazonia forces gunned down the Monarch and some residents of Manga community, which is 20 kilometers away from Kashimbilla Dam.

 During the Senate plenary, Senator Bwacha who represents Taraba South, said the residents were killed during an invasion of the community by the Cameroonian separatists, who also burnt down the village.

 He revealed that the separatists’ invasion threatened Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty as their motive is yet unknown and called on the Nigerian military to rise to the occasion.
However, taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter on Thursday morning, Dr Ayaba denied responsibility for the attacks. He accused the Cameroon Government of carrying out the killings in a desperate bid to invite Nigeria into the their war.

 See what he tweeted;
 “Media reports of our forces having carried out an attack in Taraba state is a ploy by #Cameroon to invite #Nigeria into the Ambazonia Liberation war. Our forces have not crossed into Taraba State & have no reasons to do so. A desperate Cameroon is responsible for this incursion.”
