Man Nearly Loses Arm As Four Persons Brutally Attack Him With Machetes In Rivers (Graphic Photos)

A man identified as Francis Batambari from Kapnor community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State is currently in critical condition as four persons allegedly ambushed and attacked him with machetes.

The victim was inflicted with vicious machete cuts that left his hand clinging limply and almost resulted in amputation.

Reports have it that he was promptly rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Bori, where he is currently receiving medical treatment, while the case was reported at the office of the Local Government security outfit, KHASPAC.

Upon report, one of the suspected assailants identified as Barisua Baaluube was apprehended by Khaspac. He reportedly confessed to committing the crime and was handed over to the police in the area. 

According to a member of KHASPAC, Comr Nwibakpo Golden, who shared the reports, the development would have stirred another communal clash in the state.

Nwibakpo said;

“The suspect who confessed to the crime, was apprehended few hours after the incident was reported in our office and handed over to the Bori Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.

“Note that this crime would have triggered another communal crisis between Kapnor and Luawii communities if not for our prompt intervention.”
