Mob Beheads 5 Suspected Robbers, Sets Them Ablaze In Cross River (Graphic Photos)

An Angry mob beheaded 5 men alleged to be armed robbers, before setting their bodies on fire on Saturday, October 17, in Akwa Ikot Effanga community, Akwabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State.

It was learnt that a 7-man gang allegedly broke into a shop on the wee hours of Saturday, at about 3am to be precise, and carted away electronic gatgets worth thousands of naira and an undisclosed amount of money.

Reports gathered revealed that the youths of the community laid ambush for the suspects and in the process, five of them were apprehended, while two managed to escape leaving their unlucky members behind. 

A very disturbing video footage which captured the scene, showed the remains of the suspected robbers and a motorcycle in flames. 

The headless body of one of the suspects could be seen burning in the fire as onlookers stood by and watched.

However, many people have condemned the ugly incident which they described as inhumane and barbaric. They also called for an end to jungle justice in Nigeria.
