Uche Nwosu, former Imo State governorship candidate and son-in-law to ex-Imo state governor, Hon. Rochas Okorocha was on Sunday arrested during a service at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama Obieri in Nkwerre Local Government Area.
The incident occurred during the late Jemamah Nwosu’s Outing Service, which was also attended by the victim’s mother.

Nwosu and his family were at the Anglican Church on Boxing Day for a thanksgiving service when some gunmen in an Armoured Personnel Carrier and vans stormed the area.
They shot sporadically to scare people away before whisking the former governorship candidate away while his security details watched helplessly.
Some residents have accused the state governor, Hope Uzodinma, of having a had hand in it but the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, claimed the allegations were false.
Photos of the treatment Nwosu got from the police after his arrest has however surfaced.
In the trending photos, Nwosu had been stripped of his top and was in handcuff.
