Goods Worth Millions Of Naira Destroyed As Fire Guts Amobi Market In Onitsha (Photos)

According to reports revealed by some eyewitnesses, fire razed many shops at Amobi market in Onitsha, Anambra state.

The fire started at the wee hours of Friday morning, March 5, 2021, at Amobi market, very close to Ochanja.

The inferno spread very quickly, destroying goods and properties worth millions of naira. 

Pictures of the scene shared by a source captured the part of the market in ruins, as shops and burnt goods lay in shambles. 

Unfortunate traders whose shops were destroyed could be seen lamenting about their loss.

As at the time of filling this report, The cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained.
