Nigerians React As Bandits Abduct 12 Police Officers In Borno State

Nigerians have taken to social media to react to reports that bandits have requested for ransom after kidnapping twelve police officers in Borno state.

According to BBC Hausa, the policemen were on their way to Zamfara from Borno state, when they were ambushed and taken away.

It was gathered that one of the police officers who was abducted, called his wife and asked her to raise N1million, noting that there would be trouble if she fails.

She said;
“He called me on Wednesday and told me that he was in the hands of the kidnappers. I can’t tell you I have any other information. We are in a state of frustration.”

However, Nigerians are now wondering what their fates are, if the law enforcement agents they rely on, can be whisked away by bandits just like that.
