#EndSARS: “I Would Have Sued CNN But...” – Adamu Garba Reacts To CNN Findings On Lekki Massacre

Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba have revealed why he would not take legal action against CNN following its investigation on the October 20 Lekki shooting which the network released on Wednesday.

CNN said its findings revealed that the Nigerian Army opened fire at protesters, contrary to claims that blank bullets were used.

The network also trailed where some of the Nigerian live ammunitions were bought.

Garba took to his Twitter handle to react to the reports, claiming that he would have sued the network but said that it was only doing its job.

 Here's what he tweeted;
“I would have sued CNN if they instigated or sponsored people of Nigeria against its Govt. But one thing is clear. CNN is doing its job: Investigative & not ‘Conclusive’ reporting.

“Unlike Jack who interfered directly. While you enjoy the fleet, wait for response from authorities.”
It would be recalled that Garba had dragged Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, to a Federal High Court in Abuja for allegedly supporting the #EndSARS campaign against police brutality in Nigeria.

He asked the court to order Dorsey and Twitter to pay him the sum of $1 billion as damages.

He also asked the court to give “an order directing the 7th Respondent (Nigeria Communications Commission) to stop the operation of Twitter Intl Company in any part of the territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
