    #EndSARS: Gov Ikpeazu Declares Tuesday Public Holiday For Clean Up In Abia



    Following the destruction of property and other infrastructure during the EndSARS protests, the governor of Abia State, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has declared Tuesday, October 27, a public holiday for clean up in the state.

    The general cleaning would include the major cities of Aba and Umuahia, starting from 8.00am to 3:00pm.

    The announcement enjoins all Abia residents to come out with brooms, packers, bin bags and join in the clean up exercise. 

    The Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) and all its staff are to fully mobilize and deploy every equipment.
    The point for takeoff in Aba will be ASEPA office, opposite NEPA, Aba while takeoff for Umuahia will be from School Road Primary School, Umuahia.

    To that effect, governor Ikpeazu declared Tuesday, a public holiday to enable everyone to participate in the clean up exercise.
