Horror As Lady Gets Knocked Down By Trailer Over N50 In Upper Iweka (Photos)

An unidentified woman was knocked down by a Trailer on Monday, July 27, at Upper Iweka in onitsha, Anambra State.

According to information gathered, trouble started when the woman had crossed the main road instead of using the pedestrian bridge overhead.

It was learnt that people who fail to use the bridge, if caught, would be made to pay a fine of N50 before they are allowed over to the other side of the road. 

When the lady didn't use the bridge, some touts (agberos) who saw her, immediately accosted her and asked her to pay the fine for violating the rule. 

A source who witnessed the whole event revealed that in the heat of the moment, an agbero pushed her back, after she refused to pay the fine. 

Unfortunately for her, a trailer which was passing at the exact moment, knocked her down, leaving her in a critical condition, whilst her attackers took to their heels in split seconds.

She was vomiting blood and might possibly have internal bleeding. As at the time of filling this report, the woman was being taken to a hospital by some onlookers.
