Confusion As NDDC MD, Pondei, Collapses Before House C'ttee Probe Panel

There is heavy tension and confusion as the Acting Managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Daniel Kemebradikumo Pondei, collapsed before the House of Representatives Committee probing the commission over alleged.

According to our correspondent monitoring the development presently, Prof. Pondei unexpectedly collapsed at the hearing and has been rushed to a hospital.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, was summoned last week to answer to allegations raised by the former acting managing director of NDDC, Joy Nunieh, and we can confirm that he was present at the time of the sudden collapse of the acting NDDC MD. 

Recall, we reported that the Chairman of the House of representatives Committee on Niger Delta, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Monday, stepped aside from overseeing the affairs of the investigative Committee.

As at the time of filing this report, the committee has declared twenty minutes break.
