    Anambra State Governor, Obiano, Set To Dump APGA For APC


    Baring any last minute change of plans, Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano is set to dump the All Progressives Grand Alliance party (APGA) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
    Reports from an insider, have it that the arrangements are in top gear for his defection billed for August.

    Modalities being worked out for Governor Obiano's defection include his request for the party structure in the state to be handed over to him, a request that was turned down. 

    The Governor is reportedly expected to summon a meeting of House of Assembly members elected under the platform of APGA, Local Government Transition Chairmen, as well as commissioners to formally intimate them of his move.
    This report is coming barely 24 hours after a former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and returned to his former party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
