32-Year-Old Man Sits In Front Of His Mother, Then Commits Suicide In Lagos (Photo)

A 32-year-old man identified as Aboh Ogbeche, did the unthinkable, when he committed suicide in the presence of his mother in the Lawanson, Surulere area of Lagos State on Friday, July 17.

It was gathered that Aboh did not leave any suicide note. He had simply poured a harmful liquid into a cup, sat before his mother and gulped the liquid. Reports had it that he started convulsing afterward.

His mother, who was confused about the event unfolding before her eyes, immediately raised alarm. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was certified dead on arrival. 

Described as a very jovial person, many people who knew him have been left in shock as they had no inkling he was ever going to take his own life His friends took to their social media pages to mourn him. 

One of his friends, Gulf Limmer, who mourned him on Facebook wrote; “What happened to him? Why Aboh? We chatted three weeks ago. Why Ogbeche? Why did you take your life?”

When contacted, the state's police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said the command was yet to receive a report of the suicide incident.

As at the time of filling this report, Aboh’s remains had been deposited at a Mortuary. It was also still not certain why he had to make his mother watch him kill himself. The mere thought of the untold pain she probably feels is bone-chilling. It's definitely a horrible memory she would have to re-live everyday, for the rest of her life.
