According to reports from a source, the pastor had connived with another prophet in Lagos to defraud the victims, promising to do a spiritual job for them to succeed in their target.

It was gathered that the boys waited for three years but nothing happened. So they went to look for him, and found him preaching at a church in Crudas Road, Sapele, Warri.
When confronted, Pastor Kenneth confessed that he had deceived them, and promised to pay back the money by the ending of March, 2020.
The boys went back to him at the agreed time, but he couldn't pay up.
He begged for them to give him till the end of May, which they obliged.
However, going to collect the money as agreed on Wednesday, June 3, they found the pastor secretly parking his things, to run away.

Narrating the event in pidgin language, the source said;
“Pastor Kenneth na one of the Cele Pastors for Crudas Road here. Since 2017 nai he deceive some boys unto spiritual matters. According to he confessional statement, he connived with one other prophet for Lagos, as dem demand for N450, 000 from the boys say the spiritual job go legit.
“Since 2017, nothing happen as him and he cohort chop the money troway. The boys con dey find am, dem come see am for Crudas Road branch dey preach. He con admit say na fake work dem do. He promise to pay the money ending of this March wey pass so. March ending reach, dem approach am, he say make dem give am small time.
“The boys agree to he appeal as dem give am till May ending. Na today wey dem say make dem go visit am for he house to ask am afar, nai dem found out say he wan hide park. NASO dem bundle am with beat. Dem carry am go meet Army, na Army presence nai he agree say he go dey pay 50k every month.
