Video: A Huge Cobra Seen Swallowing A Python Whole

In a recent development, terrified residents saw a highly venomous cobra swallowing a big python whole.


The cobra was found in a rice field in Davao del Sur in the south of the Philippines, were it had only its victim's tail hanging from its jaws.

However, the locals who have witnessed several people killed due to cobra bites in recent times panicked and clubbed the venomous reptile until it died before cutting it open.
The remnants of the python was found inside its stomach. They estimated that the cobra was around 12ft long while the python was smaller, measuring between 6ft and 8ft.

One of the locals said:

"There are lots of snakes in our area, but this is the first time we saw a cobra eat a python. We've had people die from cobra bites before so my neighbour killed the snake as soon as he saw it."

In the video, the cobra's jaws can be seen firmly gripped to the stomach of the python.

This happened in a remote village near the town of Kibalawan on the island of Mindanao in the south of the Philippines.

The rare incident was later reported to the local authorities who cautioned residents to be wary of snakes in the fields.
