“We Are Just Men” – Bola Tinubu Finally Speaks Over Defeat At Edo Polls

National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has broken his silence over the victory of
Governor Godwin Obaseki in the just-concluded governorship election in Edo State.

Obaseki, who contested on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), defeated his closest rival in APC, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu with a total of 307,857 votes.

Following the loss his party suffered in Edo State, Tinubu has said that their defeat is proof that they are only but men and not gods.

Here's what he said;
“We should enjoy and take pleasure from our defeats as much as we take from our victories.

“The extent and length they go to see us down shows how great we are.

“Our defeats should be a lesson that we are not gods, that we are but men.

“That we are mortals who suffer from set backs, betrayals... But if our fellow men see us as gods and celebrate our defeats like they've defeated gods, then surely we must be close to being gods.

“They seek schadenfreude at our shrine but we only have to give, exactly what they hate us for.”
