Toke Makinwa released a statement online, threatening to sue the originators of the story.
The statement credited to a Toke Management, debunked the reports as a malicious rumour.
It also said that Toke is the sole owner of the property in question and not the man being suggested.

“Our lawyers have been contacted and legal action will be taken against the originators of this story,” it said.
Toke herself appeared unfazed with the story as it went viral on Monday. The statement was not even shared on all of her social media platforms and she is yet to make a direct statement to refute the rumours.
Her tweets also did not indicate they were coming from someone who had just lost her home or who was saddened by anything.
In one tweet, she wrote; “Work done, off to get my nails did(sic). How’s your Monday going?”

Toke Makinwa replied cynically, saying; “😁😁😁😁And we shall help them. We move.”
It was reported years back, that the controversial OAP had a simmering affair with Lagos billionaire, Dr. Festus Fadeyi.
The reports carried for long that the married man has been the one behind her luxurious lifestyle and also the one who bought the banana island house for her.
Rumour mongers are whispering that the relationship has fast gone cold, hence the reason for the loss of the house.
