Spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor, has confirmed the incident.

The spokesman however did not disclose if there were any casualties in the briefing with The Punch, but he revealed that efforts are being made to rescue the trapped residents.
“Our personnel are on ground at the scene and rescue operation is ongoing,” Okunbor said.
It is becoming a sad trend in Lagos, as building after building collapses in the State, most with casualties.

However, the Lagos government is taking the lead in ensuring that all buildings with the threat of collapse are pulled by the government agencies in charge of these duties.
