A Chicken Found With Four Legs In Benue Spark End Time Scare (Photos)

A chicken with four legs have stirred up fears of end time amongst residents in Makurdi, Benue State.

The little Chick which looked more than a day old was found with four limbs, making people who saw it wonder what was going on as they shrieked with surprise at the rare sight.

Reacting to the pictures, some people said it was a mutant chicken, while others gave different opinions of how the extra limbs came about. 

However, here's one reaction that stood out and basically made more sense; 

“Nothing spiritual about this. Although It's a rare occurrence, it's called Polymelia and it's a defect that causes creatures to have extra limbs.

“In this case, it is most possible that the embryo initially started as conjoined twins where one twin degenerated completely except for their limbs, which end up attached to the other twin. (As you know an egg can't contain two chicks). 

“Another factor might have played out though. It is called ‘Dipygus’, in which the body of an organism's axis forks along the torso, so the posterior end duplicates, forming two extra legs as you have it in this chick's case.” – EzzyCarter
