    Ooni Of Ife’s Third Marriage Hits The Rock As Queen Naomi Silekunola Announces Divorce


    The third marriage of Oba Eniitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has crashed as his wife, Naomi Silekunola has announced her divorce from the first-class king. 

     In an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, the queen said she would no longer be regarded as the wife of the Ooni of Ife.

     “Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God’s unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. 

     “ I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince,” the post partly read. 

     It would be recalled that the royal Entourage of his Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife had stormed the residence of Evangelist, Prophetess Shilekunola Morenike Naomi, on Thursday 18, October 2018, to seek her hand in marriage at her residence of Ijako Estate, Akure.

     The royal wedding was kept away from the media and when news of the marriage made major news headlines, people wondered if she was the one as it was no longer news that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi, had had two other failed marriages.

     Now, three years after Queen Naomi — a 28-year-old prophetess and founder of a popular Akure church, En-Heralds, at Sunview Hotel Alagbaka, Akure— tied the knot with the monarch, the marriage has also crashed.
