    WAEC Shifts GCE Exam For Private Candidates


    The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has shifted the commencement of its forthcoming 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates (series 2). 

    The General Certificate Examination (GCE) was shifted from Saturday, November 18, to Monday, November 30.

    Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, the Acting Head of Public Affairs of WAEC, Nigeria, made the information known in a statement on Monday, November 9.
    He said the shifting in the timetable for the exam was necessitated by circumstances beyond WAEC control – which he did not state. 

    He, however, noted that the new timetable would be out soon while regretting the inconvenience the decision might have caused the candidates.
