Man Electrocuted To Death Few Weeks To His Traditional Marriage In Aba (Photos)

A middle-aged man identified only as Chukwudi was on Wednesday, May 27, electrocuted to death in Opobo road, the commercial nerve centre of Aba, Abia state.

According to ABN TV, trouble started when the deceased discovered that there was loss of electricity supply in his apartment and opted to search for a solution to restore power to his apartment located in a public compound.

It was gathered that he used a ladder to climb the electricity pole in search of the fault even though he is not a staff of the distribution company, EEDC in the area.

Unfortunately, luck ran out on him as a powered electricity cable was reportedly resting on a barbwire near the pole he was allegedly climbing. 

Eyewitness reports revealed that he was trapped in between the pole and the electrified barbwire, making it difficult for him to escape sudden death, as he was fried at the spot.

It was learnt that the deceased was an electronic engineer and was planning for his traditional wedding before his demise.

His remains have been deposited at a mortuary.
