Twins Engage In Machete Fight Over Girlfriend, One Loses Both Hands In Imo (Graphic Photo)

Tragedy struck in Umuonunkwo kindred, Ndimoko Arondizuogu in Ideato North LGA of Imo state, when a man simply identified as Peter butchered his twin brother Paul during a fight.

It was gathered that, the brothers do not even behave like twins, as they are always at loggerheads and fight at every given opportunity.

Unfortunately, fighting for one of the twins has abruptly ended, after his two hands were butchered in the freak incident, leaving the palm of one hand clinging by a tiny flesh at the wrist, while the other is dead from the machete wound.

According to reports, trouble started on Monday, May 25, when the victim allegedly beat up the suspect’s girlfriend’s child, which was not severe, as the child wasn't injured in any way. 

It was learnt that Peter, who was not home when the incident happened, went out to confront his brother, after the girlfriend briefed him on what had transpired earlier.

The confrontation subsequently led to the duo, throwing blows, then the fistfight generated into a machete fight, which eventually led to Paul struggling for his life. 

Their elder brother, named, Micheal Ogbonna who spoke to newsmen, stated that their father died two years ago and that, they have tried severally to get the twins trained in a vocational skill but to no avail. According to him, the twins always abandon their trainings midway, adding that they preferred to stay home, causing trouble. 

It was gathered that the child in question was not Peter’s. The said girlfriend has five children, all fathered by another man.

Paul who was initially being treated at Home Resort Hospital at Ndianiche in Arondizuogu, has now been transferred to the Federal Medical Center, Owerri.
