Video: Hilda Dokubo Flaunts Traditional Dance Moves in Seki 2019



Veteran Actress and Film maker, Hilda Dokubo has uploaded a video where she could be seen displaying and rocking some traditional moves
inherent to the Kalabari people of Rivers State.

She was fully adorned in a cultural attire with the beads and everything to go with it. The Actress shook and twirled with so much ease and expertise on the stage thrilling the large audience that attended the show.

Here's what she said amidst posting photos of her attire;

"Seki" involves a dance drama originally created in 1998 as Owu-Amapu-Ti in Atlanta, Georgia. The play is a collaborative rhythmic agreement of dance patterns of different ceremonial dance groups predominantly from the Kalabari, Okirika, Bonny and Ikwerre ethnic groups in the Lower Niger Delta Area of Rivers State, Nigeria. Seki seeks to promote virtues and values sacrosanct to a people of peaceful and hospitable disposition.
