Nigerian Army Begins Trial Of 70 Soldiers


The Nigerian Army 7 division in Maiduguri, has started a trial for 70 soldiers
declared wanted in the fight against Boko Haram Terrorists.

The acting General Officer Commanding, Abdul Khalifa has said that the court is working according to the section 131{2} {d} of the armed forces act CAP A20 LFN 2004 of Nigeria.

He said in quote:

"Any form of desertion and cowardice has no place in the Army " according to him, The Nigerian army is not for cowards during war.

He said that the court is doing this under the military conduct to ensure standard and encourage discipline in the operations of the Nigerian Military.

He added that setbacks and successful attacks carried out on military bases were as a result of soldier who are not willing to fight for what they signed up for .
