Many have reportedly been injured, properties worth millions destroyed as a gas filling station located around Akwa road in Onitsha, Anambra state, explodes.
A video which captured the scene of the raging inferno showed another filling station being badly affected by the explosion which occurred this evening.

Two other filling stations were reportedly saved by men of Anambra Fire Service who quickly responded to distress calls.
An Eyewitness who didn't give his name said the explosion caused an earth shattering noise. He added that the incident occurred around 7:30pm on Sunday evening and that a mechanic workshop sharing boundaries with the two affected filing stations was also consumed by the fire which ensued from the explosion.

It was gathered that over fifteen (15) vehicles were burnt in the inferno. However, the number of casualties was still unknown at the time of this filing this report.
