Burnaboy Apologizes For Fighting With A ‘Pig’, Quits Social Media

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burnaboy has tendered an apology to his fans following his heated squabble with Ghanaian dancehall singer, Shatta Wale. 

 This is following the insults they both hurled at each other after Shatta Wale went ballistic on the Nigerian Music industry and its artistes, and kept criticizing and calling them out for days.

 In one of his replies to the Ghanaian musician, Burnaboy alleged that Shatta Wale attempted to sexually assault a lady he took to Ghana once, while saying that he would have killed him a long time ago but for reasons best known to him, he didn't. 

 Shatta Wale who had been itching for an exchange with Nigerian top music acts, quickly uncovered some purported dirty secrets about the self-acclaimed African Giant.

 The drama quickly escalated from mere exchange of words to threats of engaging in a rap battle and thereafter, a fisticuff. 

 Subsequently, Burna has tendered a public apology for “stepping out of character” and assured fans and followers that it something like that wouldn't repeat itself. 

He also stated that he would be staying off social media for the entire year. “I’m sorry everyone. I don’t do this type of shit. Fighting a pig will only leave you dirty. the pig is used to dirt. I really let this pig get to me. But I promise. This is the last time I will ever allow myself stoop to this level. I sincerely apologize to everyone I will not be seeing social media at all this year. I’m out see you all in real life,” he wrote on his Instastory.
