Omotola Dragged Over Old Tweet As #EndSars Panel Release List Of Lekki Victims

Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has come under fire all over again after the Lagos EndSARS panel released a list of victims, confirming the massacre at Lekki toll gate.

It would be recalled that the Actress had taken to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to ask families of the victims to either speak up or keep shut.

She tweeted;
 “If people died during the Lekki Toll Assault, let their people speak out please and if there were No deaths then enough with the sensationalization because it does not remove from the Crime that happened. PEACEFUL PROTESTERS WERE ATTACKED, WHY? BY WHOM! #EndImpunityinNigeria.”

It's not clear if she was being quoted out of context or if she was actually suggesting that no one died, but twitter users had dragged her then.

Also recall that the judicial panel released its findings on Monday, November 15. In its reports, the panel released 48 names, nine(9) of which were males, who were shot dead at Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020. Four(4) others were missing and presumed dead. 35 other names in the list released, where injured, victims of stampede or assaulted following the military invasion.
