Recall that on March 14, 2021, the afrobeat singer won ‘Best Music Video’ for his role on ‘Brown Skin Girl’ at the 63rd Grammy Award, which was held in Los Angeles, United States of America.

The talented singer seem to be having one great year after the other, as latest reports have confirmed that he bagged the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Taking to their official Instagram handle @mtvbaseafrica to congratulate Wizkid for his win, organisers of the event wrote;
“HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.”
Subsequently, Wizkid took to his Instagram story to repost a video snippet of the announcement as the winner of the category.

The list of contenders for the category had been released earlier with the likes of Tems, Amaarae, Diamond Platnumz and Focalistic selected as nominees.
