    Naval Officers Celebrate As FG Sacks Chief Of Naval Staff (Video)



    A video fast going viral has captured the moment Naval officers celebrated joyously as President Muhamadu Buhari accepted the resignation of service chiefs.

    It would be recalled that the Buhari-led government sacked the service chiefs on Tuesday, January 26.

    This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina in Abuja Tuesday. 

    The statement read partly; 

    “Those involved are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
    “President Buhari thanks the outgoing Chiefs for what he calls their “overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our dear country,” wishing them well in their future endeavours.”

    However, as news of the sack reached the Naval quarters, officers jumped in jubilation.
