Meet The Nigerian Lady Who Founded The Emzor Paracetamol Company

We are all familiar with the blue-packed Emzor paracetamol in Nigeria but many of us may not know who actually founded the company.

Stella Chinyelu Okoli, is the founder and C.E.O of Emzor pharmaceutical. She founded Emzor in 1977 before she incorporated it in 1984.

Stella is from Anambra state, but was born in Kano State. She got married to an Imo state man, Barrister Nnaemeka Okoli who is now late. 

 he studied Pharmacy from Bradford University, and also holds an M.Sc in Biopharmaceutical from University of London. 

After she acquired her first and second degree, she worked briefly in the United Kingdom before she came back to Nigeria. She opened a small pharmacy shop in Lagos State, which she called Emzor.
Today, Emzor is worth billions of Naira. Stella has also received so many awards for her groundbreaking achievements in the Nigerian health sector.

In 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan bestowed her with the Member of the Order of the Niger award.
