“Your Father Hid Himself In Shame Because Of You” – Fans Blast Charly Boy Over Gay Daughter

Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa AKA Charly Boy has come under fire, following the “advise” he gave to parents, as he publicly announced his acceptance of having a gay child, NicoleKaima reports.

The singer had taken to Instagram on Friday, to recount how his daughter, Dewy Oputa, came out and told him she is a lesbian.

In his very long epistle addressed to “Parents only”, Charly Boy revealed that he was grateful for the experience of having a gay child. 

However, followers of Charly Boy have taken to different platforms on social media to condemn him for not raising his daughter right. 

Some took a trip down memory lane to remind him that he also brought “disgrace” to his late father, Justice Oputa, which is why karma has dealt with him. Others simply praised him for being strong enough to support his daughter.
