Drama As Hisbah Police Ban ‘Black Friday’ Sales In Kano, Says It's UnIslamic (Photo)



The Kano state hisbah board has written a letter of warnings to all residents of the state, banning them from calling November sales from major sellers, “Black Friday”.

According to the Moral board, tagging November sales as Black Friday is unislamic, reasons being that Friday is a holy day.

The letter was dated on Thursday, November 26, 2020, and signed by Abubakar Muhammad Ali for the Commander General of the Hisbah corps.
In the said letter addressed to a popular radio station, Cool FM, the Hisbah police warned that the order should be obeyed with Immediate effect, adding that it “will be around for surveillance purposes, with a view to avoid any immoral occurrence”.
