“Scrap SARS, They Are Worse Than Criminals” – Apostle Suleman Tells FG

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has urged the Nigerian government to
scrap the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigerian police force, across the country.

The Televangelist stated this on Saturday, October 3, while condemning the recurring brutality and cruelty perpetrated by the unit on daily basis.

This is following the viral reports of the killing of a youth in Elelenwo, port Harcourt a little over a week ago and the very recent viral video of the shooting of a young man in Ughelli, Delta by men of the SARS on Saturday, October 3.

The video, currently making the rounds on social media, showed moments men suspected to be SARS operatives killed a young man in broad daylight, before making away with his Lexus Jeep.

Taking to his Twitter handle to react on Saturday night, Apostle Suleman said the SARS unit should be scrapped as they are a ‘disgrace’ to the police force.

Apostle Suleman also took a swipe at the government saying the old have failed in leadership.

The cleric tweeted;
“SARS should be proscribed..they are a disgrace to the police force..they are worse than the ‘criminals’ they claim to be against..their trigger-happy nature have rendered mothers childless, sent youths on premature extinction, wasted destinies, they will reap what they sow.

“The old have failed in leadership..now the youths are been killed by SARS and their salaries are paid by these same failed old leaders..so indirectly, the old are killing the young.”
