A Chinese man called Sun Qiang has been crowned as a chief at Kwahu Abetifi – a town in the Eastern Region
of Ghana. Sun Qiang was given the title “Nk›so› Hene” of Afram Agya, which means development chief. By virtue of his chieftaincy, he has been given the Ghanaian name, Barima Kofi Ayeboafo.

Development King or Chief is an honorific title, which is received by a person who deserves it and the person is expected to bring development to the area where he/she was crowned.

The enstoolment ceremony took place on Saturday, September 5, and photos from the grand durbar held at the Kwawu -Abetify Palace to commemorate the special day has gone viral on social media.
