Drama As Member Of Alexx Ekubo’s Fans Group Absconds With N10m Contribution

Popular Model and Nollywood Actor, Alexx Ekubo, is a very playful and jovial celebrity as many who follow
him on his social media pages can attest to.

With such easy-to-love personality and good looks to crown it all, it's no surprise that his huge fan base are made up of mostly women.

The many women, with the knowledge of the actor, who is very much single by the way, formed a female fans group which they call “Alexx Ekubo’s Wives Association”.

Sometimes, especially during the festive periods, Alexx Ekubo and his Wives Association throw get-together parties – which, reports say, are mostly funded by the women.

However there are recent reports that, a female photographer identified as Rita Nkechi Onyeogani, has absconded with money placed in her custody by co-wives of the popular Alexx Ekubo's wives association, which is almost N10million.

The whole drama started in January 2020 when a suggestion was made to start up a daily savings, popularly known as AJO by most Nigerians.

Rita created different whatsapp groups according to the amount the women contributed daily which ranged from N1,000 to N5000.

Members of the group who felt it was a good idea and being that the group was formed on the stronghold of Alexx Ekubo did not sense any foul play, as they transferred money to her Zenith Account number 2217220921.

But trouble started at the wake of the Coronavirus lockdown as co-wives who contributed, started demanding for their money as they could no longer put up with the contribution and were starving due to not working for some months.

Reports have it that Rita, from April 2020, has been giving excuses until recently, when she stopped replying messages and picking calls altogether.

Her parents and close relations were contacted by the Head Wife of the association, identified simply as Adaeze.

It was gathered that the relatives gave excuses that she was duped by her ex-boyfriend, whom she gave the entire money to for the purchase of two vehicles she wanted to register under Uber, a popular taxi service in Nigeria.

A married woman with 3 kids who is one of the co-wives affected by this scam has threatened to go diabolical if her money is not returned to her by the end of this month.

It was also learnt that Alexx Ekubo is aware of the situation, but all efforts by our team to reach him, to get his reaction on the matter, proved abortive.

Reports have it that her parents have been pleading on her behalf and the matter is yet to be reported to the Police.
