Photos Of What This Lawmaker Distributed In Bauchi Is Going Viral

In a massive empowerment project carried out on Monday, July 27, a lawmaker representing Bauchi Central in the upper chamber, Senator Haliru Jika distributed items worth several millions of naira to youths and women in his constituency.

The Items distributed included; 55 cars, 96 motorcycles, 83 tricycles, 50 power generating sets, 130 sewing machines and 40 water pumps.

According to reports, Jika also presented N3 million cash donation to 300 women in the six LGAs in the district to enable them engage in businesses of their choice.

In addition to that, the Lawmaker planned for each of the beneficiaries to receive N10,000 as a giveaway.

Speaking to newsmen on the development, he said the reason for the project was help with poverty alleviation by reducing the rate of unemployment among youths and also to encourage the spirit of self dependence among women in the area.
