Fulani Herdsmen, Operation Lion Walk Vigilantes Clash In Imo State


The Operation Lion Walk security outfit lauched by the Igbo National Council, on Tuesday, clashed with some marauding Fulani Herdsmen in Orji, Imo State.
According to reports from a resident of the community who witnessed the development, the incident occurred around 9:30pm and a heavy gun battle ensued between both parties.

The eyewitness revealed that some of the villagers fled to take refuge in neighbouring communities. 

He further said that the herdsmen were recently chased away from their neighbouring community, Emii, then they allegedly planned to resettle in Orji by force, before they were confronted by vigilantes in the area.
National President of Igbo National Council, Chilos Godsent, said the herdsmen were subdued due to the awareness created by INC, which introduced the “Operation Lion Walk” in the community.
