Frustrated Man Shares List Of Things He Must Provide For His Father-In-Law’s Burial

A Nigerian man identified as Nathaniel Umoh has expressed his frustration by sharing an outrageous list given to him by his wife’s family, which contains the things he has to provide for the burial of his wife’s father who recently passed away.

The family in a letter dated backed to June 30, 2020, demanded that the man should bring several items which included;

A full cow, 2 goats, 1 bag of rice, 10 tubers of yam, 20 liters of palm wine, 10 cartons of beer, 10 crates of soft drink, 5 bottles of assorted hot drinks, 4 liters of Ufobob and a sum of N300,000. 

According to reports, the custom in Akwa-Ibom State, mandates the first son-in-law to a wife’s family to contribute for the burial of his late father-in-law and Mr. Nathaniel Umoh, unfortunately is a first son-in-law.

In the concluding paragraph, the family urged that he should see to delivering the items demanded before the time for the burial which has been scheduled for September 2020.
