Alleged Cultist Beats His Pregnant Wife To Coma In Ebonyi State

A man identified as Egwu Francis Emmanuel has beaten his pregnant wife, Mrs Ezinne to coma in the suburb of Amachara Village in Afikpo North LGA of Ebonyi State.

According to an eye witness who couldn't report to the Police for fear of being killed by the culprit who is allegedly known for engaging in cult related activities.

Emmanuel has been standing outside the hospital, where his wife is currently receiving treatment, bragging and threatening to pounce on her again, as soon as she recovers consciousness. He added that Emmanuel feels untouchable because his elder brother is a barrister.

Pleading anonymity, the eyewitness said; 

“This incident is a repeated occurrence in the neighborhood. Even the wife is afraid to run away from the marriage as she is afraid of what may be her fate next.

“As am talking to you now, she is lying in coma in Medical Center Afikpo. And the husband is still bragging outside of the hospital to pounce on her immediately she regains consciousness.

“If I see who can have the courage to report this young man to the police, then I will be most grateful because he does all these because his immediate elder brother is a Barrister and he brags that nothing can happen to him.

“So, I am appealing to well meaning Nigerians, especially organizations who fight domestic violence to come to the rescue of this lady who already has two children for the husband.”
