Police Gives Suspected Armed Robbers Hot Chase In Imo State, Nabs Two

Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the operatives of the Search and Flush security outfit of the new government in Isiala-Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to reports, the police operatives were patrolling the area with the local vigilante at about 7 pm on Monday, May 11, when they were alerted about an ongoing robbery.

An eyewitness account revealed that although the police were able to arrest two after giving them a hot chase, the armed robbers were more than four in number. The other members of the gang are still in the wind.

Some of the items recovered from the armed robbers were laptops, mobile phones, and cash among other things. 

The suspects’ names were given as Stanley Benedict of Umucheze Obollo in Isiala-Mbano local government area and Chikwubuike Chijioke from Nwangele local government area respectively.

They were said to be members of a gang which recently attacked and robbed a family in Omuokie Ibeme community in same Isiala-Mbano LGA.

The Interim Management Committee chairman of Isiala-Mbano LGA, Chika Okoroike applauded the newly introduced Search and Flush, for their swift action against crime, adding that it will go a long way in reducing criminality in the state.
