FG Rebuilds Bridge Linking Anambra To Imo State (Photos)

The Federal Government through FERMA, has reconstructed the local bridge linking Ezinifite in Anambra state to Amaruru, Orsu local government area in Imo state.

It was reported that the colonial bridge linking the two communities had collapsed in May 2018 and roughly two years after, it has been rebuilt.

The bridge was reportedly crushed by a heavy truck which was loaded with bags of cement owned by UNICEM company.

The Member Representing Orsu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Uche Agabige had visited the scene of the accident to ascertain the extent of damage.

According to reports, while the community waited on the government to fix the bridge permanently, they did a makeshift bridge, using wood to make it accessible during the long wait.
