US Travel Ban On Nigeria; What It Really Means

Donald Trump, the President of United States of America, has officially placed
a visa ban ensuring that immigration from Nigeria is no longer possible.

It was also learnt that 5 other countries like Eritrea, Myanmar, Sudan, Kyrgyzstan and Tanzania have also been enlisted not to be allowed to apply for visas to migrate to America under the policy.

According to reports, the Trump administration revealed that it took the decision to tighten security for countries that do not comply with the US minimum security standards or cooperate to prevent illegal immigration.

Tanzania and Sudan are however being barred from participating in the diversity visa lottery, which randomly awards green cards to 50,000 immigrants annually.

What this means is that, Immigrants will now only be allowed to visit for tourism reasons but not permanently migrating to the United States and also Immigrants who were issued valid visas before that date, will still be able to move to the United States.
