The University of Abuja has expelled not less than a 100 of its students which includes 72 undergraduates and 28
post-graduates, following reports of examination misconduct.
Premium Times reports that Habib Yakoob, the spokesperson of the University, revealed that the decision was
taken after the institution's authority considered claims from its central examination misconduct committee.
Speaking with journalists on Sunday, December 22, Habib also stated that the affected students were ordered to, with immediate effect, hand over their identity cards to the authorities and leave the school premises.

Yakoob disclosed further, that 27 of the expelled students were in 400 level, 19 in 300 level, 16 in 200 level, two students are in 100 level, while five are in their 5th, 6th, and 7th sessions.
Breaking it down, he said that 47 of the students were from Faculty of Science, 23 from Faculty of Management Sciences, 20 from Faculty of Social Sciences, while 10 the belong to other faculties.
