    'Atiku Abubakar' Has Been Sentenced To Jail For Fraud Crimes


    One Mr. Aminu Ahmed has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kano Zonal
    Office for impersonating former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

    Aminu was arraigned in Court by the Commission sometime in March 2019 for committing fraud. He reportedly posed as former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar to defraud his victim, whose name is Auwal Iliyasu.
    According to reports, Justice Sa’adatu Mark of the Federal High Court Kano presided over the case. The Justice convicted Aminu Ahmed on a two count charge of conspiracy and obtaining by false pretense.

    The convict was sentenced to six months imprisonment with an option of restituting the sum of N200,000 to the victim.
